Artists & Athletes

The Obama campaign is going to do wonders for the gang running Artists & Athletes, the nonprofit that has found its niche within the confines of Hollywood’s interest in and naiveté about Washington.

Last night the ballroom at the Four Seasons in L.A. was filled with 140 agents, publicists, managers, writers, producers, directors and actors who filed in to listen to Mark Halperin moderate a panel discussion about what to expect from Washington.

Jorja Fox was in attendance.

CSI Watch Alert … for January

CBS finally bothered to pick an official date, or at least give one to TV Guide. The press release should come out any day now, but TV Guide is citable confirmation to what everyone’s sources have been saying. Billy Petersen’s last CSI as a regular, One to Go, will air on January 15th, 2009. This is when we last expect to see Jorja as Sara Sidle.

Mild spoilers (more like hints) behind the link for what’s to come. No mention of Sara.

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society

If you were a little interested in where in the world is Sara Sidle, you’re not alone. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society are often affectionally called ‘anti-whaling pirates.’ Also check out easyVegan.info, who are rather happy to see Sara turn ‘terra-ist.’

Forums Re-Opened

What a year it’s been.

November 1, 2007, I shut them down. November 2, 2008, I bring ‘em back. It would have been the first, but a friend of my has a birthday this weekend, ya see.

A word of caution. These forums are decidedly low-rent. They’re slim, trim, and low on features. There’s no way to PM users and avatars will need to be set by Gravatar per email address (but that’s on you). They’re integrated with the blog, which means nothing right now except that you’ll need to log in to the blog to comment, and I’ll know if you’re being a twink on one or the other locations.

The one thing you won’t see are a lot of rules. I’ve set up some basic ‘read me’ topics in the forums with guidelines of how you’re expected to behave. Please, be good people like I know you are. Don’t pick fights, don’t be an ass, and listen to your conscience.
