Early morning fog and one of the more boring hikes ever (I was making Dante’s circles of hell jokes, among others) lead to one of the best views.
This temple was the steepest ever. Seriously. It was followed by a hike that I, with my knee, could not make.
Where distance is a lie and sports games involve football uniforms and paper airplanes.
Where I cannot explain death until you too have died.
The hike up to Temple 12 was an all-day event. Long, tiring, and totally worth it. It really did take us most of the day, and of course, it was the absolute hottest day. This was the day that I wrenched my knee and wanted to kill someone.
I learned how to follow the train and took the lead. It was a very long day and the worst was yet to come.
