We didn’t go in the Louvre because the line was so long, but we walked around and caught the free show of art in the world.
Everyone knows what this building is. I only wish I’d remembered the camera the night before, when we walked past at midnight and ran into a man with an accordion, playing a song my partner knew, in a key she could sing in. It was so good, people stopped on the street and applauded.
A trip to Gay Pari in 2007 was well worth the $65 tickets. Yes, $65. It was over Christmas and we celebrated my old man turning 60.
On our last day in Paris, we decided to walk to that iconic landmark, and found everything beautiful in between as well by taking side streets. Remember, take the less direct route when you’re on vacation.

Cozumel Mexico. We didn’t go snorkling (which I do regret a bit), but we did go on a tour of Mayan ruins. On horses. There was beer involved.
Another day, another beach. It was overcast, but that didn’t bother us one tiny bit! The weather was warm, the rum was spiced, and we went to Hell. No, really, it was a town.
I don’t know if Aki Rice and Salt Fish are nice, but I do know that we enjoyed a tree-top zip-line tour of Jamaica, man.
